Privacy policy
WIRE.AD is operated by Wirelab Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong (Business Registration No. 81338969), at Unit 909, Prosperity Millennia Plaza, 663 King's Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong. Wirelab Limited is responsible for personal data collected through WIRE.AD.
This policy explains what personal data WIRE.AD collects and how we use it.
We use the details you send through our forms to answer your request, prepare your report or fulfil an order. Marketing emails require your separate, optional consent. We record your choice and you can withdraw it at any time.
What we collect
- From our brief, rate-card and AI Shortlist Check forms: the details you provide, such as your name, work email, company, project site, role, request and report link. We keep the source form and submission date with your contact record.
- From the privacy request form: your email address, the type of request and any details you choose to provide.
- Your marketing email choice. When you opt in, we record the date and the wording of your consent; when you unsubscribe, we record that choice.
- Technical data that any web server receives, such as your browser type and the pages you open, kept for security and to keep the site working.
- Usage data measured by the site's own analytics and by Google Analytics, as described under Analytics below.
We do not use advertising trackers on WIRE.AD.
Analytics
The site counts page views, referring sources, internal searches, clicks on outbound links, form submissions and page-speed measurements with its own first-party analytics. This measurement sets no cookie.
Google Analytics is optional. Its tag loads only after you select Accept in our cookie banner. You can decline without losing access to the site, and change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits, and Google receives technical request data from your browser, such as your IP address and the pages you view, under its own terms. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block Google Analytics with your browser's content-blocking controls or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Legal bases where GDPR applies
Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we process requests and orders to take steps before entering into a contract or to perform it; security, fraud prevention and necessary operational records for legitimate interests; records required by law for legal obligations; and optional marketing and analytics on consent. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may object to legitimate-interest processing.
How we use it
- To answer your request, send the rate card or prepare and email your free AI Shortlist Check.
- To send occasional WIRE.AD updates and offers if you tick the optional marketing email checkbox. Leaving it unticked does not prevent us from answering your request or sending your audit.
- To prepare and fulfil the orders you place.
- To check the company behind an order before publication.
AI checks and international processing
If you request an AI Shortlist Check, we may send your company name, public website, relevant business facts and questions about your company to third-party AI model providers to generate the report. Avoid submitting confidential, sensitive or third-party personal information in briefs or report links. Our hosting, email, analytics and AI service providers may process information outside your country, including outside Hong Kong, the EU or UK. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use legally recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual protections. Contact us for details relevant to your request.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the providers that host the site, help prepare a requested AI analysis and deliver our messages, and only as far as they need it to do that. Google receives technical data from your browser through Google Analytics, as described above.
Retention
We keep a request for as long as we are in contact about it, and no longer than 24 months after the last contact unless an order requires us to keep records longer.
Security and your rights
We use access controls and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet transmission is completely secure. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and may complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. Hong Kong residents may also contact the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where legally required.
Your choices
Marketing emails are optional. You can unsubscribe through the link in a marketing email or submit a request using the form below. A later request without an opt-in does not withdraw an earlier consent; you can withdraw it by unsubscribing or submitting a request.
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or to stop using it. Submit your request below and we will reply within one business day.
If the form does not load, open the privacy request form.
